This is a schedule of the game conventions that we know about, some of which we plan to attend. We are more than happy to help you promote your convention. If you'd like to add your con to our list, use our handy convention registry form.

We can also provide support to GMs who run SJ Games events at conventions and other types of convention support, such as GMs to run SJ Games events! Send mail to and let us know how we can help.

You can download these posters to publicize your games and help you find new players at conventions (or stores, or schools)!

We also need volunteers to help us at conventions.

Aug. 25-27: Dragonflight – Bellevue, Washington

Dragonflight is a small non-profit convention completely ran by volunteers. That includes our game hosts, staff, and general volunteer pool. We provide a weekend of tabletop gaming that is family friendly and welcomes everyone. A vintage game auction, movie room, murder mystery, and dealers bazaar are other key features we offer.

Aug. 25-27: Coulee Con – La Crosse, WI
Location: La Crosse Center, North Hall, 300 Harborview Plaza La Crosse, WI 54601
Coulee Con is a convention focused on bringing gamers together in the Coulee region. Gaming is interpreted broadly as including board games, collectible card games, roleplaying games, miniatures, video games, and puzzles. The convention includes preplanned events as well as space for open gaming. Friday and Saturday are typical convention days focused on tournaments, special events, open gaming, etc. Sunday has an extended focus on gaming and families.

Aug. 31-Sept. 3: Fan Expo Canada – Toronto, ON

Fan Expo Canada is the largest media event in Canada and one of the largest in North America. It features dedicated gaming space of over 10000 square feet and hundreds of hours of games and programming.

Sept. 1-3: Escape Velocity – Washington, DC

Escape Velocity is an annual celebration of all things science and fiction in the Washington DC area. EV is part comicon, part traditional SF con, and part science and engineering festival, with guests that range from SF writers and actors, to scientists and astronauts.

Sept. 1-4: North American Discworld Convention – New Orleans, LA
NADWCON runs every other year. It's the largest gathering of Discworld fans in North America. We have had some fantastic guests including Rob Wilkins (Terry's assistant and general dogsbody), Colin Neill (Terry's Publisher), Rhianna Pratchett and a host of others.

ISU-Con is a local convention that the Indiana Statue University's Role-Players' Guild runs yearly. It is a small convention, buy steadily growing every year.

Sept. 1-4: Gateway – Los Angeles, CA

Gateway is an all-ages annual gaming convention focusing almost entirely on tabletop games. More than 2, 000 players gather to learn, play, watch and buy a wide variety of board, card, miniature, role-playing, collectible and video games. Forest City Comicon featuring Project Play is London's largest celebration of nerd culture. Quest-Con is a multi-genre convention heavily influenced by gaming & cosplay (2 things we hold dear to our hearts). In addition Quest-Con will not be your standard dog & pony show with a flea market that so many conventions seem to be turning into. Youmacon is a popular culture event similar to most "Comic Cons", however instead of focusing on comic books, Youmacon is a celebration of Japanese popular culture and its influence on our own culture over the past few decades. Tabletop free play (Sponsored by Play The Game, Read the Story): RetroGameCon isn't just about video games. We have a huge tabletop free play area with a generous lending library, plus staff on hand to help you learn new games! Our tabletop free play area also usually has giveaways and prizes, just for playing games! Charity: Our featured charity is Extra Life, which helps heal sick kids locally at Children's Miracle Network hospitals. Our convention features an "Extra Life Stage" where attendees can come play games on a huge 12′ projector screen while being streamed for an internet audience, with free giveaways throughout the show.

Con Nooga celebrates all fandoms and all genres. Some shows focus on guests but we primarily focus on programming, entertainment, workshops, contests, interaction and networking. We have over 500+ hours of content in a mere 3 days. Covering all genres, fandoms, pop culture and pretty much anything geek to freak! We have over 23 rooms of programming every hour and 3 total stages.
